Design of the Product and its Installation

Start the unboxing, simply locate the best view position for your security cameras and install using the Cat.5 cables. In order to get a good angle for potential identification for outdoor security cameras, the installation height of your camera should not be more than 8 feet high.

Simply make appropriate hole for the cameras by using a power drill, insert the wall anchors and screw in the cameras. Insert one end of the Cat.5 cable to the IP PoE cameras and connect the other end to the NVR.

Connect all the necessary cabling to the LaView NVR e.g. HDMI cable to your HD monitor, USB mouse, and the patch cable to the internet router to allow remote view.

Power up the NVR, display monitor, your internet router and wait for LaView NVR to start its job to automatically install the cameras. You will just have to follow all the on screen display prompt.

After the date, password and time are set, proceed to the network setting to select DHCP. DHCP allows your NVR to automatically receive IP address from the internet modem without IP conflict.

In order to setup the remote view, you need to perform the following:

Hover the mouse on the top of the screen and click menu, then click on the configuration icon to go to network settings. In the network configuration page, make sure the “Enable DHCP” is checked. Go to DDNS page and be sure the “Enable DDNS” is not checked.

Go to Platform Access page and make sure the “Enable” is checked.

The “Enable Stream Encryption” and “Custom” must remain unchecked. Also make sure the “Status” says online by rebooting the NVR system.

Proceed to your respective app store to install LaView Net App. Open the app, select Region and press Enter. Tap the 3 horizontal bar at the top left corner of the next page, and tap the Not Logged in to proceed to login page. Login or register a new account by following all instructions.

In the LaView P2P page, you can tap on the (+) sign at the top right corner directly to add your NVR, only by scanning the QR code sticker attached to the NVR. If you cannot find the QR code sticker on your NVR, simply go back to Platform Access to reveal the QR code in the system. There is need to verify your device in LaView Net app by supplying the verification code from your NVR system.

To get the verification code from your LaView NVR device, simply navigate to the Main menu on the NVR then Maintenance, click on the System info and also on Verification code to reveal it.

User Experience and Performance

The Disadvantages

• None of the Indoor and outdoor PoE cameras support audio microphone.
